Every community has a day one. In March, the Sofi Lakes team walked the freshly graded land together, seeing the footprint set for real. The detail work was just beginning. April brought the lake itself. By October 2025, the work went deeper. Storm-drainage infrastructure rolled out across the site. Dozers shaped the next phase. Underground systems that keep every future street high and dry went in first, because the foundation always matters more than what sits on top of it. Nine months into the project, in September 2025, partners and builders were on-site seeing the vision firsthand. Six months after that, in June 2026, finished homes began to appear. A Coventry Homes model opened its doors. Homes went vertical—frames rising, walls going up, landscaping taking shape. Model homes sat move-in ready. Neighbors began to take form not as imagined sketches but as actual structures, real.
From that first January cut to finished homes less than eighteen months later, Sofi Lakes moved from idea to place in Waller County. Five builders are part of this community in Katy Texas—Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, Imagination Homes, Lennar, and Westin Homes—each bringing their own approach but all building toward the same vision. Lot widths range from 40 feet to 60 feet, offering different configurations for different families. Royal ISD serves the area with six campuses from preschool through 12th grade, with an 11.8-acre site reserved right here in the community for on-site school facilities.
Ground broken in January 2025. Models open now. Homes under construction across the site in Waller County and Katy Texas.
